Italy culture week.
Every year, for the last 30, the Italian cultural department dedicates a week to promoting cultural tourist attractions in Italy, by organising events and free entry to all state run italian tourist sites.
This year the cultural week in Italy runs from the 18th April to the 26th April 2009, in its 11th edition with the brand “Settimana della Cultura” translated as “Culture Week”.
The objective of the Culture Week is to increase cultural knowledge and the appreciation for the italian arts. For seven days you can choose between exhibitions in Italy, conferences in Italy, Italian work shops, guided tours in Italy, Italian concerts, festival, film shows and extended opening hours across the whole of Italy.
This years slogan is ” Culture is for everyone: take part”.
If you are on holiday in Italy during this period take advantage of the Italian Culture Week and visit your favourite museams and further your appreciation of culture in Italy.
